back blogging
One of the benefits of having an aerospace engineer as a boyfriend is his amazing knowledge of everything regarding astronomy, spaceships, airplanes etc. I like it when he explains to me how a certain scene in a movie is extremely fake, because planets or space stations or whatever just don't act like that. Philip Plait's badastronomy.com does the same and offer explanations of other misconceptions regarding astronomy (including a detailed article on the moon hoax).

Infinity Point is a well-designed futurism magazine with interesting articles.

Naomi now offers desktops.

I'm looking for a new hosting company to host my sites. I've ruled out nomonthlyfees.com (doesn't seem reliable) and hostrocket (doesn't allow domain redirection). communitech is too expensive. Does anyone have any suggestions? or knows a good communitech reseller? contact me please.

:) Have Fun

I don't feel like writing.
I've been sick (caught a virus) for the last week, and that's why i didn't blog.

But it's not just that. Things here in Israel aren't going very well.

Last Sunday (August 5th) a palestinian started shooting people with a gun in the center of Tel Aviv, very close to David's workplace. No one was badly hurt. David himself was in a conference in another town. His parents and sister, not knowing that and unable to reach him by phone (his mobile phone was closed because of the conference), called me hysterically to find out if I know anything regarding his whereabouts.

A few days ago a palestinian terrorist blew himself inside a "Sbarro" diner in Jerusalem. Families, mothers and their babies and teenagers were dining there at the time. 15 people where killed (the youngest was 2 years old) and about 90 were injured.

Yesterday there was a bombing in a restaurant in Kiryat Motzkin, a small town near Haifa. A palestinian terrorist blew himself inside the restaurant. 16 people where injured.

(You can read the Israel's sad history of bomb blasts in the BBC news website).

When will it all stop?

What would we do without it
David installed a small genealogy application on his laptop. It's called GenPro. This app is pretty cool - it lets you build family trees and has extra features to support them. Today, this app gave David a very crucial tip:

So in the next release David will be able to enter his family members who were born before Christ.
How useful.

Love is in the Air
Yesterday was "Too Be'Av", the Hebrew Love Holiday. Me and David had a romantic dinner in a restaurant we both really like (We got a "love cocktail" for free, which made me really dizzy).
This is what i got from David:

It's a framed photo of us two :) The frame is extremely cute, but the photo itself isn't that good, though. It was taken a day after the wedding of David's sister. I'm featured here with my old haircut (which is nothing compared to my new snazzy one!) and before I lost a lot of weight (8 kgs!). But the gift is still lovely! I really love my guy :)

I started a blog in Hebrew called Racheli.Dot.Net. Israelis, come visit!
