How did they know I had a crush on Thom Yorke in high school?

Our Paris
On October 11th me and David will be flying to Paris, like he mentioned on his blog. We already booked the flights, and now trying to find a hotel. I'm both excited and nervous. The expenses are going to be quite high too... I just hope we can afford it. I'm a bit worried about that.

I thought I'd lay out the websites we used as a source of information. The hotels section at Paris Pages was very helpful. It has hotels listed according to quarters, including their details: phone, fax, star ranking, nearest Metro and RER stations and max price.
We plan to visit Disneyland Paris, and the website was helpful too.
3 Days in Paris describe a tour to Paris made by Scott. It contains mostly (beautiful) pictures, and not much explanation, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.
I was disappointed to find out that Yahoo! travel wasn't very helpful. It might help any of you, though.

:) Have Fun, and wish us luck.

I need to belong.
I think I need to belong to a design community, I just don't know where to find one. I'm not a designer either, just a person that enjoys web design, so I'm not sure what kind of community would suit me. I don't want it to be large, or too small. I would like it to be message board based. I would like it to have a mandatory contributions policy. I would like the people to be nice. It doesn't have to be women-only. I want it to include people around my age. I want it to be diverse - not 90% americans, but also europeans and australians and canadians and far-easterns and others. I wonder where I could find such a thing.

The mystery unravels itself.

It was simple. it was so simple it only took me a second to find out where the missing entry has disappeard to.
I keep several blogs. I use GreyMatter for 2 of them. i posted my beautiful entry on the wrong one.

elementary, my dear watson.

So here is the now-found entry:

My sweetie (that's David, my boyfriend) started his very own blog, called Philosofa. Although I'm naturally bribed, I honestly declare it's a great blog. He's only starting, so there aren't a lot of entries, but whatever is there is great, interesting and thought-provoking. Go & pay him a visit!

BlackLight is a great display of purpleness.

overmorgen (nice design) and SciTech Daily Reviews are good sci/tech blogs.

AnyThink features interesting news and articles.

Do Not Enter! is not a blog, but it's a funny site featuring "do not enter" signs from all over the world.

:) Have Fun.

OK, this is weird.
I wrote an entry a day or two ago, and I don't see it in my blog.
Has GM started eating entries? This isn't the first time it happened.
I would say F*CK, but i'm a civilized person.

trying to be, anyway :)

Redesign for bitsofmagic.net
The Magic Network now has a new layout.
This is the place where you should go if you want to see a list of all my sites.

This layout was done using CSS and XHTML too, no tables.

just a small change....
I changed to grayish colors, and I like it better this way.

I'm back home after being at my parents for Rosh Hashana's Eve. It was great. I really enjoyed myself :)

I also wanted to say that...
the layout was done using XHTML and CSS. no tables. This is a big change for me after being the tables-queen. blue robot and glish made the difference.

new layout, my friends.
I like it a lot. What do you think?

Racheli @ Friday, September 14 2001, 22:35 | link |

Do you get it now?
"When the Unimaginable Happens, and It's Right Outside Your Window" by Clyde Haberman is a very interesting article from the New York Times (you may have to register freely in order to read it).

I think it reflects some thoughts that went through my mind (and in the minds of many other israelis too, I'm sure) after hearing about the terror attack in Manhattan yesterday.

Israel is Mourning with you.
Anat has made a touching web page in honor of the victims of yesterday's catastrophe: Israel is Mourning with you. I want to join her in that sentiment.

Palestinians in Gaza were dancing and throwing candies into the air after they heard about the tragedy... I don't understand how people can feel happiness when so many innocent people died. it just makes my blood boil.

is the world coming to an end?

I couldn't believe my eyes and ears when i heard the news about the tragic terror attack in Manhattan and Washington today.

I want to send my heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the innocent victims.

This is such a shock.
