24 April 2001: From Remembrance day to Independence Day

Today, at 20:00, a siren was heard across the country. Remembrance Day started this evening and will last until tommorow evening, when Israel's 53rd Independence Day will start.

Remembrence Day is dedicated to commemorating the soldiers that died while fighting in the wars or on their duty.
